Fuel consumption trouble
Thanks for the input on my earlier tranny question. My 1999 4.0L 4x4 is not only shifting roughly and clunking on torque converter lockout but its also getting ~14mpg. It used to be getting 19-20mpg. I brought it to the Ford dealer prior to this and they discovered a lean running condition so they claened the MAF sensor. The truck drove well for about a week after that. Now it is shifting rough and having the lockout problem. I recleaned the MAF sensor, the airbox is spotless and the "check engine: light is not on. Any thoughts. Thanks.
