wv exhaust

Does anyone know if its legal in West Virginia to cut off the precat and just run the main cat.

I don't believe that is "Legal" anywhere in the US. Violation of Federal law to modify an emission control system.

Although, as far as I know, there is not a Federal Police force inpecting vehicles "yet".

Just read a post in your other thread. Very detailed info there, and a much better answer than mine.

so would I be better off ditching both cats and running a new high flow cat?

WV Inspection law states the exhaust must be OEM or OEM style replacement and the vehivle MUST have the cats in place to pass. Federal law makes it clear that you can only replace failed cats. and they must be OEM or OEM style replacements.
