Swap

Can you swap a 76 f-250 cab and bed on to a 79 f-250 frame? Also, can you do the same with the leaf springs too?

In a word, yes. But you will need to make sure that the wheel bases are correct. Assuming they are both shortcab long bed 2wds it should be a fairly simple swap. As for the springs, my guess is that they would work also.

So if they are both regular cab, long bed, and 4x4. Then they should be able to swap between the too.

If the 76 is a 4x4, the back of the cab connects to the frame via brackets bolted to the outside of the frame. It can be modified to work, though.

I swapped a 73 F-250 4x2 cab onto a 79 F-150 4x4 no problems except for the wiring -- so I changed cab wiring also. I think there are 2 different width springs on rear 3in. & 2.25in. but lenghts are the same. they may also differ in # of springs in leaf pack. Front springs I belive are the same width but different in # of springs in leaf pack.
