bed covers

Has anyone had any experience with the Velcro bed cover that Mid- 50's sells? Any opinions, likes or dislikes? Thanks, Joe

Hey Joe, I have no cover on my truck, but my buddy has one with the snaps. When the weather is cool the thing is almost impossible to put it back on. Also, I don't think they are a good idea if you want to show off your bedwood, but if your truck is going to be used for transporting things then they are very handy. If you go the velcro route, why not keep this thread going so we can all share the experience? Good luck, John

Thanks John, yes I do intend to occasionally haul something. I spent a lot of time on finishing the bed wood and used stainless strips. I want to be able to protect that finish from the sun and also to secure any items in the bed. I do intend to use this thing pretty much daily. I am sure that a hard cover would not be suitable for my use and I don't want to install snaps. It looks like velcro or nothing. Joe
