but I definately agree with jrs_big_ford_f150 that the old stingrays, midyears, and straight axles are what made corvettes what they are. the new stuff is IMHO junk, and looks like GM is trying to copycat a cross between Ferrari and the Acura NSX....oh well Ford really screwed up the mustang for years, and have finally got it right...hopefully (for me..and my hobbies) GM will wake up someday as well...
new for some.
i havent known a person that had a corvette that did not have mechanical problems with it. experts have even said this.
I think they look way too much like the C5's. If your going to redesign it, make it look like you redesigned it. I was just reading one of the major car mags and they described it as not a C6 (6th generation corvette) but a C5 13/16ths. It's cool, just not different enough from the old one to get me excited.
I miss a particular '84 vette i drove...... fun with the manual!!
you can get a cool car cheap if you look....
now im lookin at a neighbors 85 5.0 stang gt.
125k miles and ALMOST always garaged kept, cept for the last couple years... he's the original owner and it is BONE STOCK and the last year with a 4 barrel!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want this thing!!!!!!
I'll keep my fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the new Vette's are the best car a poor man's money can buy.
Go Vette
Big Mick
PS> Those of us who are over 6ft understand what I'm talking about. I tried to sit in the new Stang and it just sucked! Then I sat in the 03 Vette, it was night and day...
Vette's are a Bigger mans Race Car....
By the way, I'm 6ft 3 260lbs....
