Would removing the two stock cats on my 93 cause any problems as far as performance or computer issues?
If so, I thought about removing the stocks and having true duals from my hooker shortys with a hi-flow cat on each side with flowmasters out the back. (45 degrees 'redneck' style--I didn't know I was a redneck.)
It could probably pass the emission part of the test, but not the visual part, where they check to see if you have all of the OEM emission equipment installed.
My '95 F150 didn't have a cat on it when I bought it. Didn't even think to look for that. It has since passed the sniffer tests twice with flying colors. I've just been lucky they haven't looked under there.
