Question about shocks

Hello everybody. I'm new to this site so take it easy on me. I have a '98 Explorer Sport just turning over 70,000 miles. In six months I'm going to college so i'm trying to take care of as many potental problems as i can before I get there! Now to the poiint, I was wondering if you could give me some advice on what shocks to use. I live in Kansas so weather is unpredictable but I do some light four wheeling but would also like a nice ride when on the highway. Thanks in advance!!

Search archives for good information. We installed Monroe Reflexes on our 96 and it greatly improved handling and braking. No four wheeling, though, so you might need something different.

Monroe Reflexes seem to be the consensus favorite on this forum. I personally have installed Bilsteins on my two Explorers and they greatly improved the ride.
