Based on what I've seen thus far you try to be factual and truthful with the information you provide. With that said I have a question for you and please only truth, that is if you have any information to offer. My question:
Over at TDS a user that spoke w/ a Ford Engineer said that after January 17 all new trucks will no longer have pilot injection enabled and the current flash for both the '03 and '04 engines will disable it as well. Therefore only trucks built before 1/17 that haven't been flashed will still employ quiet diesel technology. This user said that the Ford Engineer said that the injectors simply won't handle the injection strategy.
The reason I ask is that I am currently approved for a buyback but I don't want another truck if it won't perform quietly like the truck that I originally purchased. What do you know about the future of pilot injection and what kind of timeframe are we talking about?
Enlighten me please! I'd like to order another Ford but I'm sick of repeated dissatisfaction and lies.
One of the enduring qualities about Andy is his truth, he works for a dealership and yes, they represent Fords, however he always tells it the way it is. You can count on it. No need to ask for the truth you will get it!
I agree completely. He unlike many others at Ford wants to satisfy his customers, even those on internet sites like this. My plug at truth only was intended to separate any rumors or heresay because at this point it may be hard to get any factual info on this subject.
I didnt hear the duramax that passed by me the other day while walking from work. The only way I new it was diesel was that I saw the emblem on the side of it. My point is that "quietness" is a major selling point in the diesel world today. Do not think for a minute that ford is going to give up on this. As for me I can stand a little extra noise to keep my injectors happy. But I understand and dont blame you ffej for asking for what you paid for!!
With that said I have a question for you and please only truth............
Maaannnnn, if that statement wasn't a slap in the face, I don't know what else it could be. You sure as heck didn't make points with that approach. Maybe you should have read alot, afterwhich, you would have never even thought in that vein.
bump....
emtabmm, you out there?
HE'S NOT ON CALL.......
Tim Lamkin.......you were too kind.
Let's remember FFEJ... I don't even think he realizes what he has said. That alone could be dangerous.........for him.

Good answer flounder! I have been talking with my contacts at Kentucky truck plant and they are working very hard along side Navistar to try and figure this thing out. It will take time. I have nothing further, yet...

Take it easy Luke SdeS. Not trying to start any wars here. If you're looking to bash find someone else. I think you went a little overboard especially considering my compliments to emtabmm in the first sentence and my reply to Tim Lankin. i was not implying that emtabmm had ever been untruthful, I'm sorry my wording may have given the wrong impression, perhaps I should have chosen "factual" instead of "truthful". I just remembered a post earlier that was stated as a rumor about replacement of all injectors and oil rails and at this point I'm only interested in the facts and I realize that emtabmm may not be able to provide due to the uncertainty of the situation.
Thanks for the reply emtabmm. I'll try to be more punctual next time.
OK lets all take it easy, sometimes-typed words are not how we wanted the meaning to come out. I have done it myself, so no harm no foul. I have even gone back two days later and wondered what the heck I was trying to say……..sometimes!
