That is what I thought. My co-worker received a notice from Ford on his new PSD and they wanted to adjust the fuel injectors for California emissions? I just wanted to make sure that I do NOT have to do the smog check thing again!

There is a recall to reflash one of the computers so that it can send codes to third party diagnostic gear or something like that. This is needed for the truck to be compliant with emission regulations.
It isn't an adjustment of the injectors.
I just had the recall done today as well as the Dec or latest flash.
No noticable performance difference on the drive home today.

But, if you've not had problems, you may find that this efforts to also to remove the Pilot Injector feature on your engine. This issue has been heavily discussed elsewhere on this forum. I'd suggest you seach the subject out, prior to making a decision on this "recall" (it can be reasably perceived as a ploy, to get you into the dealership to have this done).

As noted above, this is about the so called recall notice. If the truck has already been flashed sometime after August, this fix has been done. If the truck has never been touched by Ford since the factory, I would give serious consideration to NOT doing it unless there are other problems occuring. IMHO, flashing an otherwise good operating 6.0 will only result in lossed performance at this point in the game. And the bottomline is that it is not needed for CA emissions testing as it doesn't apply. If this was a gas burner, then you would be forced to have it done due to the biannual checks, but it is not.
