99 F150 4.6 bad mpg? 8-10mpg

getting 8-10 mpg with 4.6l V-8.Is this bad??

That sounds really bad to me. I get about 16-18 with my 4.6 and I drive it hard. Have you checked air filter? If mine ever drops this is usually the problem.

How many miles are on the motor?

What type of vehicle is it in?

Last time the plugs, air filter, etc have been changed?
