I've always ben told that most wrenches are only made for clockwise torquing and should not be used counter-clockwise. Never was sure if it was true, but, not wanting my wrenches to be harmed in case someone else was using them, I took out the "reverse" pins so no one would be tempted to use them the other direction. I have Snap-On - I'm not sure if the pins are easily removed on all brands?
So "torque experts", is it true? (Seems there's always someone here with an answer to what you've always wondered. Great site and wealth of info!)
