'99 Harley Roadglide here, 26,000 miles in 4 years with the Iowa riding season. Started rididng on a '66 Honda 65 in 1969 at 13 YO
Then rode a '75 suzuki enduro that was my uncles then no cycle until 1982 and bought a '70 Triumph, owned it till 1992 then no cycle until I bought the harley new in '99.
My first ride was a Kawasaki kl 250 dual purpose Super Sherpa, sold it and now miss it. I now ride a 650 Yamaha VSTAR Custom, loaded with a Jardine exhaust. Looking to get an 1100cc VSTAR Silverado. Just have to convince my wife I really need it. Recently joined a club and looking forward to alot of riding.
Originally posted by phatpharm85 yeti those are some sweet bikes, what size are they? and I was wondering what the seat hieght is on them?
Thier only small twins, 650cc and the seat hieght is low, off hand, I don't know the exact measurment.
But they are great on the track and a blast to ride on the street.
Actually they are pretty old, the blue one is a 1988 and the red is a 92, but they still look pretty sporty with the single sided swing arm and wide frame tubes.
Matt, I have a 2001 V-Star 1100 Classic and love it. I do not like the idiots that do not see you, but that is another post. They are good bikes to hone your skills and cost a lot less than others. Once you are a proficent rider transition to your dream bike and you will be happy that you did not jump in over your head.
