What is EPC?

I checked my codes and they say "Electronic Pressure Control failure".

What is that?

Thanks!

I think it was 624

They pulled the codes at Autozone, and he didnt know what the "electronic pressure control" meant either.

Thanks for your help

no noticable problems with the tranny yet.

I do get the check engine light on and off, only while on the highway.

What transmission is it? Can you tell if the torque converter is locking or not?

I would bet it has to do with the line pressure in the trans. does it seem like it's shifting overly harsh? I had the flashing overdrive button happen to me before too. I ended up disconnecting the battery to reset the computer and haven't had any problems since. Knock on wood

How would I know if the torque converter is locking up on the highway? It seems to slip more than normal in the cold morning in first gear, but thats about all I notice. It drives decent and can spin my big tires.

Its an E4OD by the way

have you replaced the fluids in the torque converter?

And do you do break torques, burnouts whatever.
I've heard of them screwing up torque converters.

When the torque converter locks/unlocks, it feels like a shift, but the RPMs only change about 100-200 RPM.
