Radio "thumping" Quit
The other day I noticed a loud "thumping" noise coming from the truck. The key was out of the ignition, and the noise continued with a little feedback. We pulled the fuse, and the noise continued for a few hours. Eventually the "thumping" ended, but in the same time, my radio quit working.
I have the factory installed Premium sound in the dash, with the 6-CD changer in the console.
Any thoughts on "How to identify where the problem is" and "How to fix the problem"?
I appreciate any thoughts...
amplifier is still on (no signal from head unit) radio off....
the amp will make the speakers move....making it sound like
a soft thump....
Get your amp checked out....perhaps it is staying in the on position until the power bleeds out.....causing the thumping...
When I first heard it I thought there was a Poltergeist in my friend's truck.
Also check out the turn on lead for the amp and make sure the radio shuts it off completely upon turning off.
