Woo Hoo, I just had a Flowmaster 40 installed with dual exhaust. I knew the sound wasn't going to be quite what I was used to in my old 78 with a 400M and glass packs, but it still sounds great! I really wanted to do the Borla headers but they're up to about $750 and I got the Flowmaster 40, dual 2.5" pipes, and 22" trumpets, installed for $267. Seemed like the better starting point. I was going to go with the 70 series because I was not wanting it to be too loud, but the 40's aren't that noisy.... or at least not as loud as other duals I've had. It does take some getting used to, and the deep throatyness of it mellows out at higher RPMs. But it is WAY better than stock, IMHO. Anyway, just thought I'd share that.
OK, I managed to create a gallery and I added a picture of the Trumpets... Now that that's done, I'll clean the truck up and add some pictures of it!!! There is some cab noise, but it isn't loud. You could hold a normal volume conversation and you'd barely notice it. I've had tires that create more cabin noise than the 40 does... The flowmaster is mounted about 18" forward of the rear wheels, so it's not close enough to make too much cabin noise.
