I bought some "computer cut tint" off of Ebay the other day for my two front windows on a 1999 Navigator. I have to say, this was the easiest tint job I have ever done in my life! I'm sure it fits the Navi/Expedition, and there are a few people that sell it. If you ever feel like tackling it, I may be able to help talk ya through it if needed!
Remember that darker than standard front windows are illegal in many states. I know, I've been caught and fined. Cops want to be able to see if you are holding a weapon when they come up to your window. Same as me if I was in their shoes.
they are alot closer to the rear windows, but I still think the back is a little darker!
I realize they are illegal, but my windows have been illegal since I was 16, haha. My state I'm aloud to have no less than 50% on the front windows and the back can be whatever since its an SUV. I put 20% on the front windows and I still want to go darker. That is the lightest tint I've ever had on a vehicle. My last vehicle (toyota 4runner) had 5% all the way around with a tint meter it read 1.5 in rear and 3% on front. I just like my windows dark, I'm not trying to hide anything, I think it just makes the vehicle look better! I never understood the cop coming up to a blacked out truck argument. If an SUV can be as dark as you want in the back windows, someone could pull a gun from the rear easier than the front! Trust me, I was always given crap about it, my dad was a state cop.
