lower actuator installation process
How do you put an unbroken lower actuator rod back where it belongs. When they are broken it is easy to remove them. When they are new and full length it dosen't seem possible to put them back in. There is obviously another step in taking the steering column apart that I am missing. Can anyone help. I need the truck for work tommorrow.

Somebody asked this yesterday, and again a couple of days ago.
A common problem.
Go back about two pages and look under a post "ignition actuator". Or a search will turn up at least 2 instances. The generalized instructions are there.

Sorry. You can click on "search" right next to "profile" and 'buddy" under this post and it will bring up a list of all my posts. Since I replied to the actuator post, it'll come up. Just trying to save all that retyping since this has come up several times. Not that I personally covered the job in great detail, just the really tricky bit.
