OK, i installed an overhead console from a 98' Explorer in my 95' Bronco, everything works right accept the cumpas, i tried to set it but im not sure how and it asked me for some number, that i think was 1-12 and i have no idea what that means, i figured it was the zone of the country i live in, so if anybody had directions and maybe a tabe or something for what the number meant it would be greatly appreiciated. thanks
It probably relates to the magnetic deviation for your area. If you can post your city/state or latitude/longitude, I will look it up on some aviation maps.
The zone setting for your city and state will be zone 9.
heres how you go about it
1.Press and hold the MODE control until VAR appears in the display, then release. The display should show the current zone number.
2. Press and hold the MODE control again until the desired zone number appears(which in your case will be zone 9) once you have your zone number, release MODE. The display will flash and then return to normal operation. The zone is now updated.
Thanks guys, do you happen to have list of the zones? i am doing a write up for my fellow bronco people and it would be great to be able to include a table
Ohhh BTW, The site in the link is just to show the zones...dont follow the instructions on how to set the zones and such, cause those are for a compass set in a rear view mirror and for a Subaru.
