Does anyone know how to compress a heavy-duty shock for installation on my truck? I see several 'shock compression tools', but I am not sure what I need. I have some monroe load levelers that need to be compresses about 1.5" for installation.
I would jack up the rear of the truck, put the FRAME on jack stands and then lower the axle accordingly. (You may have to remove the tires so the axle will drop lower). This should allow you enough room to install them.
Also what year/model truck - that is good information to have in your signature
You could find a giant steroid freaked out friend. Putting new Monroe HD's on my truck this weekend. So maybe you can borrow the freak of nature after he compresses my shocks.
