Thumbs down

That's not true!

The democrats in Washington have been saying since the start of the Iraqi war that Bush never had a plan for Iraq! Sen. John Kerry being the most vocal.

Regime change in Iraq was a policy left over from the Clinton admin. Bush wasn't the first to think of it but he was the first with enough ***** to carry it out--Jack

Did you hear how O'Niell described Bush?

"A blind man in a roomful of deaf people".

Probably explains why O'Niell is the EX Treasury Secretary.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES:

Jan. 12, 2003:

O'Neill: 'I'm determined not to say any negative things about the president and the Bush administration'...

Jan. 10, 2004:

O'Neill: Bush's performance at cabinet meetings resembled that of 'a blind man in a room full of deaf people'... --Jack

i had watched a news clip on cnn, and it was aols news clip that iread about it. but if you think about it , yea he(Bush) may have had warnings but if he would of said anything, then no one would of flown, then nothing happened, he would of looked bad. it would of been a hard call to make.and look at the type of evidence they had...and where it comes from....also where it still is coming from.

Man some of you guys tear me up, let's take a look at Osama and America, I won't even go back super far into the 70's when attacks happened then, I'll just start with the major ones in the 90's.

'93 WTC bombing
Kenya & Tanzania embassy bombings
USS Cole Bombing
etc.

All those were during the Clinton regime, do you think his intelligence was more blinded than Bush's? No, it's the same intelligence. Clinton said he regretted not getting Osama when he had the chance, but ya know what, I can't blame the guy completely.

Clinton didn't do jack to stop terrorism in his era, and do you know why? 2 reasons.
#1 He wanted to be liked by everyone & wanted everyone to say that we had such peace when he was in office.
#2 The American public wouldn't support a move if Clinton started sending troops out into the world to track down terrorists which have not been high profile. Sure they have killed hundreds of our citizens, but not a huge bombing like 9/11 so the American public, as ignorant as they are, just want to pretend nothing happened.

We've been at war for a long time people. 9/11, as horrible as it was, was the door opening for America to do anything about terrorism. I'm not saying Bush let 9/11 happened, I honestly believe he did not.

If you're going to say that, then you may as well say Clinton let all the other terrorist attacks happen, I do not believe he "let" them happen either.

The fact is, they couldn't have done anything to stop it without getting a huge amount of flack from the idiotic American public who have short term memories & love to sweep bad things out there under the rug and pretend they don't exist.

If 9/11 was prevented, do you realize what this country would be like? It would have been on the news for a couple weeks, "BIG TERRORIST PLANE PLOT HALTED!" and then it would have gone away and none of us would be talking about this now, and everyone would be living in their cozy little safe world believing nothing can hurt them.

That is sad. 9/11, while tragic, was a wakeup call to many saying that they aren't in a happy little paradise anymore, that everyone doesn't want peace, and that the government cannot protect us from all enemies foreign and domestic. I love the US gov, but they are not God.

Imagine WWII if Pearl Harbor had not have happened... the world would be far different.

People blame the president now saying he knew and didn't do anything, but if he had done something and 9/11 never happened, all of you same people would be bashing him for being overbearing in his measures to protect this country.
