Could someone please measure the distance between the front bumper (with plate bracket) and the back of the driver's door. I ordered a 2004 F150 Supercab FX4. I have a post in my garage that might be in the way of opening the door! Thanks in advance!
That's not the measurement I need. I need the measurement from the front bumper to the back of driver's door edge. I couldn't find that information in any spec sheet.
I don't guess I can help you, then. I went to the garage and tried to measure it for you, but there are curves which prevent exact measurement - unless I crawled under it and had someone hold the tape -- and my garage floor is quite cold right now. The measurement from the rear cab to the front of the rear door is about 31.25 - again, its curved and that's a close guess. But that would make bumper to rear of front door about 112.25?
I found nothing in the product sheets or owner's manual with that exact spec.

How about asking the SALESPERSON from whom you ordered the vehicle? There's nothing wrong in expecting him/ her to earn their commission.
Check out this page!!! I found it very helpful ... just choose your truck. L403 on the 2nd page of the PDF doc should have "Front Bumper to Rear of Cab." Now getting it exact to the rear of your door ... well, you may have to figure that out on your own. Irregardless, I think you'll like the dimensional data that's provided.
I'd say L403 - L204 = (darn close to what you're looking for!). Good luck.

That is an excellent resource. If your salesperson doesn't do it, then tell him/her that you'd like to speak to the manager and ask to be switched to a salesperson that will help you. You don't want the commission going to a salesperson that refuses to help you. My salesperson is great. He has done so much for me for the 2 months that i've had my truck. I had some problems with the service department and he took control of the situation and is keeping me updated... and that is even AFTER the sale.
