just hold the time button then press the little buttons to the right of the time button. the left one is for hours and the right one is for the minutes.

Hmm...me too. No combinations of the buttons seem to work for setting the console clock. Seems logical enough to hold the time button down while pressing the other two buttons on the right, but nothing happens (yes, I even tried pressing hard).

Anyone have the answer to that one? Could it be an alignment problem with the clock board behind the dash cover and the buttons maybe not making contact correctly?

i think your not pushing hard enough, possibly try some contact cleaner, can you set the date or start the e.t. recorder ?

The other guy said he had bigger problems maybe he blew his engine ?

push them all you want, youll be there a while . you have to pull out the time button. then set it with the 2 tiny buttons. then push the time button back in.

I have an 86 F-150 with the exact same clock and buttons. You Push and Hold the Time button, then use the 2 buttons on the right to set the hours or seconds. Same method with the Date button.
Pushing harder will Not help. Push lightly and wiggle the button gently to scratch through some of the corrosion.

shop manual sets record straight on setting clock. maybe whats missing from some of the previous thread instructions is step #1: ignition switch must be in ACC or ON position in order to make adjustment

when your fingers start to bleed you can except failure, but until then get the clock set.
