Engine Failure - Twice

My friend has a 2000 F150 V6 (4.2L?) 4x4 automatic with 36K. He's a meticulous sort, and has kept the vehicle well maintained. Last year the engine failed and Ford replaced it under warranty. The replacement engine has just failed, and Ford has agreed to replace the engine again. Both times the dealer mechanics said the crank shaft had become warped in the rear(?). I've searched the FTE site and can't find any similar situations. Anybody have any ideas or advice. I've owned 8 new Ford trucks with no problems. Thanks for any info or advice.

Previously posted in another forum; Someone suggested I post here. Thanks

About a year and a half ago I was looking to get my lower intake gaskets replaced. I went to a place called The Engine Lab in Tampa. They are a well known engine/machine shop here. I asked if they knew about the lower intake gasket problems on the 4.2 and they did. They also said they were replacing 4.2s with bad cranks more then the gasket issue engines. I didnt pay much attention to it then, but when you brought the issue up I remembered it.
