loose as a goose
can anyone tell me how to tighten up the stearing on a 79 1/2ton 4x4 long bed ,351 m,it's all stock no lifts just 30 inch tires. all the stearing linkages seam to be within specs. i think its in the gear box, doesn't it have some adjustments in it.

On top, there is a nut on a shaft. You loosen the nut, and tighten the shaft down, then retighten the nut. You want to work the steering wheel back and forth while you tighten the shaft. Take it for a drive, you might need to do it more than once. It should be snug, but not torqued with all your might.
