help with actual spring height....
ok, i got a lift kit from a friend of mine, he doesn't know the lift kit size because it was a friend of his that is no longer around...
i believe it to be a 6in lift.
it is for my year bronco though, because i matched up the brackets and such...
my question is, i need to find out the size so that i can order other suspension pieces. Does anyone have a 6in lift kit that can measure the front coil springs and give me the length, so i can then messure mine...
thanks to anyone who'll take the time to go and measure their springs for me..... THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!
You need a dial-indicator to measure all the springs you got.
Search the web for "coil spring rate calculator". You will have to take one spring out of what you got now to get its "free length"
Count measure and fiqure. Measure twice, order once.
i think i have figured it out, i measured the stock springs, then the new ones, deducted lenghts and have come out with what i believe to be 6in....
thanks though for your input!!!
