Backspace question
From what I understand the new bolt pattern the backspacing isnt what is measured anymore they go from the front.
Does anyone know what this is stock?
The wheels i am looking at getting have a -8mm on the front and 4 3/8 on the back the wheel is 17x9

Offset is the dimension from the centerline of the rim to the mounting surface. The negative sign means that the centerline is 8mm outboard of the mounting surface.
Backspacing is the measurement from the innermost edge of the rim to the mounting surface. Since the rim width is measured between the bead seats on the inside of the rim, a rim is always 3/4"-1" wider than it's nominal width. This can make ofset and backspace measurements hard to reconcile to one another unless you can physically measure the actual overall width of the rim.
