Front end creaking

Guys,

All right. It's a 01 PSD. The front end is creaking real bad when I go over bumps high speed and really bad if its at low speed. A few months back I had to replace the shims in between the springs to get them to stop squeaking. Worked great. Now what Ball joints?
It does it if I'm turning or not. I noticed it when it started to get real cold out... Any Ideas?

I would bring it to a shop and have them check out all the bushings on your suspention. Also the ball joints, I had to replace mine after 60,000. They also made a creaking sound.

stay on this site and go to the tsb's, it seems to me there was something there about front end creaking or noises. let us know what ya find.

i have a 1999 f-250 super duty with 191,000 + miles that has squeked and creaked since 2 days after it was purchased in april of 98.took back to the dealer 3-4 times.i think they just sprayed wd-40 on it every time.wrote ford a letter,they never responded.this truck was the first new body style truck to be sold down here in nc.luv the truck,hate the sqeeks! obxshrimper
