Happened to me once. Had a CD get stuck in the player, wouldn't completely retract back to the cassette. Had to take the whole CD player apart - took some time. Not to difficult if you're reasonably handy. Don't remember to many details so common sense must have prevailed. Hasn't happened again. Good Luck

I had this happen in my 97 EB, the CD would not eject and my CD player read out "NO CD". I just turned off my truck from the key over and over and pressed the eject button at the same time. Ever since then it has not gotten stuck.
Has happened to me a couple of times...did the same as Darth Baiter. Was a pain in the *** but took the whole changer out and unscrewed the cover to allow access to the inner workings of the unit. After pokin' around I finally was able to physically push the CD out of the unit. Put Humpty Dumpty back and everything has been fine since. I DO NOT ALLOW MY KIDS TO LOAD/UNLOAD CD'S ANYMORE!!
Mine is the Clarion made for the 1997 Expy. It's a real piece - about every two or three years, it needs a replacement at $230 to $260 / swap.
You have to pull out the cd changer completely from the console and take it out of its plastic housing. The button is not labeled, it's on ONE of the sides where all the housing/mounting screws are located (from the plastic housing) and it's a very small "toothpick size" hole w/ a metallic plate visible just inside (found only on one side - so yes, it's different from the other side). Just insert a toothpick and it pops right out - no power hookup required - it's a mechanical release.
