Smile Oil Pan Baffle

I HAVE A 54 F 100 WITH A 239 ENGINE. THE OIL PAN DOES NOT HAVE A BAFFLE IN IT, AND I WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE TO ONE THAT DOES HAVE A BAFFLE. WHAT YEAR ENGINE WILL I NEED TO DO THIS? THE REASON IS THAT WHEN I STOP REAL QUICK THE OIL PRESSURE GOES TO NEAR ZERO. THEN COMES BACK TO NORMAL IN ABOUT 2 SECONDS

You can modify your existing pan by simply welding a baffle into it.

The few y block pans I've ever seen with baffles been horizontal, but you might want to get an opinion from an engine builder or mechanic beforehand to figure the best way to do it.
