From time to time a mod position opens up and other moderators will make nominations (from having observed your posts and responces over time). Generally a consences between Mil1ion, or Ken (the Webmaster) and yes votes by other moderators will eventually net you a moderator position. A lot has to do on how you've posted (general knowledge of subject matter) and treated others (respect, courteous, friendly, good mood, upbeat, good attitude, etc.) on this site.
I'm embarrassed at my own ignorance, but what is a moderator and what do you do? I'm kinda new at this whole computer experience, just got hooked up a couple of weeks ago.
The moderators here just keep an eye out in order to make sure everyone is following the rules. Most of the moderators are given a specific "room" or forum that is to watch. Usually they are the topics that the moderator knows well and spends a lot of time in. They help a lot in keeping FTE running smooth and keeping people in line

Not bad, just a couple weeks & you already found the best place on the internet.
It took me 6 years after I got on the internet to find this place.
What can I say,,, Fords are my thing.A guy I used to work with once asked me "Do you think it's your personal goal to save every rusty ford from the crusher?" And of course I said "Yes I do" Matter of fact, I've got my eye on a 56 half-ton shortbed that will be crushed in a month or two, it's beat to hell and pretty rusty, but I know that I have to rescue it. I dont have any plans for it, but my dad had one when I was a kid and lateley he's taken a lot of interest in my 4x4 activities-it would be awesome to build it into a trail beater or mud racer for him to drive-It's too rough to be restored or rodded
