Guages

My 1999 Ford Ranger has the basic guages in the dash. Would it be possible for me to get the newer style guages (RPM meter's etc.) installed in my truck?

I am pretty sure you can swap out the guage panel. I plan to make a pod to sit on top of the dash and put some real guages in it.

but would my truck be compadible for an RPM meter if i were to buy a stock panel to replace it with?

Your truck should be pre-wired, all you need in the instrument cluster from a truck with the same number of cylinders.

I've wanted to do the same swap but wondered about the odometer. Does that come out separate so you can keep the same mileage and not break the law?
