For the folks here that have purchased Banks headers (torque tubes) for their V10's, where did you get them from? I have been looking around, but have found very few Banks dealers. Any info would be most appreciated.

They just started selling Banks stuff on the website, they have Stinger and Power Pack systems for the V10 listed, not sure on just the headers though. Also not sure on how their prices compare either but it is a start for you.
I knew they were going to be expensive when I first started looking. My 1999 F-250 has flutter pretty bad. So, I figured I would cure the flutter and get the added benefit of headers at the same time. Banks and Borla are the only two companies (that I know of...) that make headers and a replacement Y-pipe for the V10. The Banks headers seem to be a superior product, but a lot of guys would buy the Borla because they were almost half the price of the Banks. Well, Borla has had a major price increase in the last couple of months (almost double!!! ), so now they are in the same range of price as the Banks stuff. (I emailed Borla to ask about the price increase and they replied that the cost of materials had skyrocketed. I thought to myself, "Then why haven't we seen the same price increase with Gibson?" (Gibson uses the same material T304 stainless in their products))
So, with all of that, I decided to go with the quality stuff from Banks. I didn't need the entire PowerPack since I already have a Diablo chip and K&N air filter, so I just ordered the headers and Y-pipe.
Now, if I can just wait long enough for it to get here...:-X12
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-Sep-02 AT 09:29 PM (EST)]I hear ya on the price increase of the Borla. Insane! The Borla are now over $700. You may want to research having your chip reprogramed for the headers. I've been told that you could run into lean conditions.( All ya need now is a good cat-back system.
I know now that before I trade in my truck I'm taking the headers OFF! If I can't use them on a 03 then they're going for sale on E-bay!
Thanks V10Man for the info regarding the Diablo reprogram. I will look into it further.
I already have the Gibson cat-back that I installed at the same time as the chip (about a year ago). I think my exhaust will be good to go once the headers are installed.
