Model Builders...Help???

I am an avid model builder and my local Hobby shop just closed its doors. The only thing I got around now is wal-mart and they hardly stock any.

Was wandering if any of you guys might know of some good places to buy online

If you're just looking for basic supplies, check out this limited site. The store's been in business a long time, and they may be willing to sell you stuff on a mail-order basis:

I found that a great place to buy most any kind of model you want is on ebay. Ive never been burned there on models. I have some links to some other dynamite sites to get custom supplies, wheels, metal pieces, tools, dremel stuff, paints.... about anything you want. If you'd like some of the addresses, email me and I will send you a list of what I have in my favorites list.

I build plastic and die cast cars, trucks and now am studying an exact replica of one of my company in Vietnam's helicopters. There are an incredible amount of places to buy that are trustworthy.

The first time I glued a model together, it was a black vette. It definetely wasn't for a novice like I was. NOBODY told me to open the windows while I did it. It took me 4 hours, working on it in my small apartment. Boy, was I goofy from the glue when I was done. I even pretended to race it across my countertop.

I collect the die cast cars. I have a few plastic ones I have put together, but the boy makes short work of those if I forget to put them up.

Personal favorite is Tower Hobbies. I almost pay the light bill there. They do reward people that spend a fair amount of money with them.

Depending on your interests, try Hobbylink Japan. You can also try Megahobbies.

Those are two of my favorites. Also check out the Hobbytalk board. There's a great bunch of guys there, especially if you like SF models or figures. I post there as XR4Sam. You can also check out the links at Starship Modeler. Another bunch of intersting SciFi modelers, and lots of links to vendors. Also do a search for Anthony Matelliano's Scale Modeling Links page.

Hope that helps!

I collect DIECAST and my wife hates it. She refuses to dust my home office. I don't have the time or patience to do put together models anymore since in my current case time is money.
Good Luck I hope someday you post some picturesof the models you complete
