Mag-Hytec

Who has the best price on a Mag- Hytec trans pan? or are their better aftermarket brands?

Thanks,

Jeff

I bought a differential cover and a tranny pan @
http://www.yourcovers.com/newindex2.htm

High quality, perfect fit, no leaks, no special gaskets, extra fluid capacity. Great looks, performance and value.

Thumbs up Right on time

Am really glad to see this thread. I am in the process of deciding which pan to go with. I saw that the pan from the site link stated the you could request and tap for the temp guage. Does anyone know if the Maghytec or the Proloc have the same feature? I'll be checking back. Super thread.

I had my PML (yourcover) differential cover tapped for the gauge.

I have found only one manufacturer that actually has a gauge that has the "Diff" silkscreened on the face. Otherwise, I was going to use a "oil temp" gauge or a "tranny Gauge" to monitor the rear end temperature.

I got under my 02 this weekend and my stock trans pan has a drain plug in it, and I am concerned with the added depth of the Mag-hytec it may be more susceptible to rock damage. I think i might wait untill I get a gauge package and see what my trans temp. really is.

Or you can get an aftermarket LPD tranny cooler and not worry about the gauges.

No matter what I do I would want to get the gauges first so I can get a before and after reading so I can tell if it works and how well.

I guess I was saying that I know people that haul big loads though HOT conditions and have guages, with the same lpd cooler.

I know I'm not going to be hauling more than 12K pounds through Arizona in the middle of summer (in which their temps were never even close to being a concern, so I don't need the gauges with the same cooler.

All in what your comfortable with
