2 Problems: Clunking and Starting
I've got about 2000 miles on my new 2002 6spd F250 and I've noticed a few problems and haven't decided whether or not to take it into the dealership. Firstly, I've noticed when shifting in the lower gears, there's a clunking sound when I let the clutch out at low speeds. I've never owned a manual truck before, but this really doesn't sound like something normal, and it seems to rattle and shake the front end of the truck. Secondly, I've been having trouble starting the truck. I've noticed that about every 20th time I go to fire it up, it seems like it doesn't want to turn over. I'll have the key turned for a while before it finally whimpers to a start. It's a little unnerving because it always roars when I start it up except for that 20th time when it just barely eeks to life. Anybody have these same problems? Could this be the result of poor driving habits? Any suggestions?
