Just seen a post that fourplay ford posted. someone mentioned to him that swapping from the 6 to the 351 would be very difficult. i just recently bought a used 302 that i plan to rebuild and use to replace my 300. i have a '94 f-150. is there something more complex that i should think about other than motor mounts, computer and assorted brackets? i got the engine harness with the motor when i bought it. Is there any big surprises in store for me? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
seriously, Iyou sound like you have all the parts. I am also doing a 300 to 351 swap, but ran into a con-rod problem. take a look into either the straight 6 or the 302, 351 etc. column, there is alot of people who did the swap willing to help..... and good luck.
Thanks for the reassurance guys. i was just wondering if there was something big i was missing out on. by the way, the M50d was sold behind the 302 in the f-150 wasn't it? i'm thinking it was but not totally sure. thats whats in my truck right now. should handle the 302 if it handled the torque of the 300 eh?
mine only has 150000 kms so it should be okay for a bit then! as long as it gets me by for a couple years i'll be happy. after that, T5 time!
