Overhead Console Questions
I have a 96 XLT and want to install an overhead console - like the ones that came in the Eddie Bower models, with the temp sensor, lights and compass. They're impossible to find so I'm wondering if anyone knows if any other OH console will fit? Has anyone tried anything like this and could shed some light? Thanks

Try searching this forum. I found one at the local junk yard. It came out of a 95 eddie bauer bronco. Installed it myself and it works great in my 96 bronco. I believe someone on this forum installed one out of a ford expedition in his bronco.

Here's another thought..... I bought one from a wrecking yard out of a '98 Explorer on a hunch that Ford would have used the same display unit for all with different bases to specifically fit the Bronco, Expedition, etc. I was right! I picked up the '96 Bronco base (molded to fit the Bronco ceiling) from the Ford dealer and swapped my salvage yard console 'guts' into it. Viola! A lot easier than trying to track down one specifically out of a Bronco.
