460-514 Efi

I just got my 460 block and am planing to stoke to 514. I would also like to add EFI to it. My question is what year did the EFI 460 come in and what vehicle(s) did it come in. I am more interested in mass air systems. I am going to put this in my 72 F100. Thanks.

86 or 87 were the first years I heard of EFI systems on the 460 but I could be way off. I tend not to mess with EFI since I like carb's with all the calories. But in all seriousness why not run an aftermarket TBI system that you can taylor to your needs?

i have an early 87 f250 it has a carb, but i think that the trucks in late 87 were switched to efi.

Very few came with mass air. The vast majority were speed density. If it were me I would probably get a 351 kit from Ford racing and just modify the harness to work with the 460 firing order.
