My daughter went out to start my 2003 F-250 6.0 Diesel and it made a funny noise and didn't start. A few minutes later it was on fire and a total loss. Anybody else with this problem?
Michele, Sounds pretty strange to me. Diesel fuel is unlike gasoline in that it is not as volatile. It won't burn unless really highly compressed and heated. I would have to hear a lot more detail on that one. It is the first I heard of burning up to a total loss.
would your daughter come start my truck. This happened to my 99 350 CC 4x4 7.3, Ford said a voltage drop between the alt and battery didn't occur.
Burned to the ground; ins. settled with me Ford paid off ins. This happened on a frigid Dec day. hope nothing of importance burned glad your daughter is ok.
