DOOR LATCH BINDING
Anybody heard of this? On my '02 Crew, my driver's door latch seems to be getting tighter. When the door is locked and the latch does not engage, it is a little stiff, but when it is unlocked and I open the door, it seems like it is binding and opens hard. I lubed the latch mechanism and the striker does not seem to be out of alignment ie: no heavy marks that indicate binding, so I don't think it is an alignment problem. The only thing I can notice is that the front and rear door lines are not ligned up perfectly.....maybe a 1/16" difference.....IMO not a big deal....certainly not enough to cause binding. I DO NOT even attempt to adjust doors or latches unless I am very sure of the results.....on my '90 F-350, i played heck aligning my passenger door after an unintentional "tweaking" anybody have any ideas on this 'un?

DOOR LATCH BINDING
I just had my P/S SC door fixed. It was hitting the body and worn the paint off at the back off the cab and edge of the door. Dealer needed to shim the lower hinge and paint the worn area. Don’t know if this will help
