There are at least two different lids that I know of. I don't know which truck gets which lid. For my XLT SCab with 60/40 split, holder for a Kleenex "travel pack", not a box but just a small package, a slot to slip something inside-maybe a road map, and a clip to hold some paper. The clip is too wide for business cards so putting the insurance card in there sounds fine to me. Maybe that'll leave roon for a pair of gloves with the owners manual in the glove compartment!
Seriously, I have no idea about the slot or the clip moulded into the inside of the center console lid. Certainly NOT intuitive design, is it?
On another thread someone had two plastic clips for pens. He put a pen in one and his tire gauge in the other. I thought "What a great idea!" Went to look for my pen/tire gauge clips and found that I did not get any. Perhaps Lariat or maybe Super Crew get them, I don't know.
Let's name the clip the "Insurance Card Holder Clip." When somebody finds a cool use for the slot, we'll name it after them.
With 3,500 miles on the truck, I'm just enjoying every minute of driving it. The Chevy drivers are still rubber necking to check it out-all of them with their mouths wide open. The Dodge drivers don't look-I think that they are too busy watching their warning lights to look up!
