Difference b/t choke performance
I was reading the summaries of the edelbrock performer 600 cfm carb. The manual choke is calibrated for maximum performance, and the electric choke is calibrated 2% leaner for maximum fuel economy. Now i have a 302 for a ranchero, and i wont be driving this much during the winter, so im not really worried about winter performance. Can anyone tell me how much difference there is between the two. Like how much of a hp and torque difference, or the mileage difference. Im building a performance engine, so if theres a lot of difference, ill go with the manual. I need to be convinced if im to go with the electric instead of the manual. Thanks
Danny

i have the 1406 and on a 390 and i get plenty of gas. The electric choke is worth the hassle.

I agree the electric choke is worth having and then get the carb dialed in properly for your motor.
Good luck,
