Has anybody while in these forums been getting these BIG pop up ads that cover the whole screen? Its getting aggravating.I sure hope this is not the road FTE is taking.
FTE doesnt use popups. It sounds like you've got some spyware or adware like Fordfaggiole had.
If you're using Windoze XP you can turn off Messenger too. It is a program that pops up ads on your screeen from time to time. They look different than most ads. They say they Messenger on them so you'll know.
Click your Start button, then Run and type in services.msc and scroll down to Messenger. Double click on that and change the Start Up Type to disabled.
I use Google toobar too like Alex and I do like it. The autofill feature is nice as well.
I've never once seen a popup or popunder while surfing FTE. In addition to disabling the messenger in Windows XP, disable the alerter while you're in there.
BTW, I thought rundll32***** is a MS system file and not of concern. Wasn't there something circulating last spring encouraging people to delete it when in fact it should be left alone? Go do a search/find on it and see who the author and what it does.

I did not think FTE used these, just thought something might have changed.I am trying to track down this stuff, problem is on this work computer it wont let me do certain things like renaming rundll32*****.I did download ad-ware, but it still seems to be happening.

I wasn't aware of anything else circulating on rundll32***** but I can tell you after I renamed it (to take it out of circulation) that the pop ups finally stopped coming up on Yahoo, FTE and everything.
What I noticed was that rundll32***** would show up in task manager processes always at the same time as the pop up.
Maybe the rundll32***** has been currupted and is a legit bit of code- but I haven't gotten any errors since removing it.
If someone else wants to research and find out what it does- I would be interested.
