Question Fuel System

Hey i just got my ignition system working and now i need to get fuel to my engine. Can anyone tell me how the fuel system works on my 78 f150. And about how much will it cost to replace the whole system excluding the carb if i need to do so?
Thanks

There is a fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump. The fuel pump is bolted to the side of the engine and is pumped by the camshaft. It sucks fuel from the fuel line and pumps it into another line up to the carb. There is a filter usually in line or at the carb.

What is happening with your fuel system? You may not need to replace every component. Maybe we could help you diagnose your problem.
