What is different spedometers my dad had a 65 short bed w/a round sepedo step side , my 65 short bed has a sweeping spedeo style side ??? Please let me know what the differents is I see 66 with the round one's & 64's w sweeping type ?
Does that apply to all 64, 65, 66 trucks. My brother has a '66 with the sweeping speedo I have a 65 with the sweeping speedo. I thought it might have been a year thing. So it is the "custom" cab that got the sweeping type speedo then?
The 65-66 Custom Cabs got the plastic sweeping speedo and the base model got the same speedo that they used from 61-66. The earlier CC's got a chrome panel for their round speedo. Also on both speedo's were the optional dealer installed amp and oil pressure gauges.
Thanks Truckfarmer, I wasnt sure on the earlier CCs, I've seen those chrome panels, Id like one myself.
And yomow... I answered your question
Cory was asking a question, that Truckfarmer asked
The lady at JBM mentioned your name when I told her I read about thier product in a ford club online. Nice people there, now I just have to wait 6 weeks for my Christmas present.
They even make them to fit whichever size gauges you get, providing there's enough space obviously. I went with brushed because my dash ***** are brushed, and i'm going with a brushed column, so it'll all match. The gauges are Auto Meter ultra-lite. It'll make a world of difference, and hopefully it'll quit bothering me when i sit in the truck. It just had to look cleaner. I've got to decide on a nice steering wheel. Flaming River makes some nice ones. Any ideas?
I have no idea on steering wheels. Im running a small older Grant.
3 spoke Chrome with a black grip
I like it
I won't be fixing this truck up really really nice inside
I did go from the plastic Custom Cab dash to a metal white painted bezel and dash tho.
I liked it a bit better, since I have autogauge aftermarket gauges under the dash.
This truck is basically a driver/racer
I had to do a little bit of work to get it work right
I couldnt figure out the turn signal mess even with a new cam and stuff, so I put a 3 way toggle switch on a bracket I made.
Its starting to come together, but I made it to drive
I am purchasing another 66 to redo completely again and use it as a "show" type truck
