most ford dealers in area go to one place to by auction autos, and i know some are only open to ford dealers.
is there any why from the web to get a list of vechiles at the sale and after the sale to get a list of what they actully sold for? or is this just wishful thinking
Go to the auction and ask someone about this--I once had a mgr at the D/FW auction track my old company truck for me--gave me one week notice when it was coming up and what 'line' it was in, but it sold for way more than I wanted to put into it.
No auction is open only to Ford dealers, FMC sends most of its stuff to Meridian Mississippi around here but it is different in each area. You might be able to get a list of the units that run through from the auction but you will not get sale price. MANHEIM AUCTIONS is the largest in the USA and they offer, to the dealers only an auction report that gives all prices but only to the dealers and we pay a good bit for it. It has gotten to the point where they are not even letting us bring guest, before we could bring a guest but he could not go into the ring now they are saying no at times although every one is different.
If you call the bank and get loan value you can figure what a dealer pays, cars will go for 1 to 2 thousand under loan and trucks will go for loan to 3 grand over depending on the truck. Blue Book means squat no buyer uses it, they use auction reports or NADA values and you are pretty much SOL on getting that info.
Keep this in mind though, when I go to an auction there are like 2000 others buying as well. Do you think they are going to let me steal a unit? Good deals at an auction are few and far between, yes dealers buy there but they pay for them.
