Performance Chips/Flash Tuners

Performance Chips/Flash Tuners
I have a '99 Ford F-150 4X4 with a 4.6L factory engine. I am seriously thinking about a Flash Tuner or adding a Performance Chip. I am trying to increase power and fuel economy.
Would you suggest a Performance Chip over a Flash Tuner or vice versa? Maybe you would suggest none of these.

I prefer the flash tuner, no messing with the computer.
I have the Superchip Microtuner, Truck runs great.
Off idle throttle responce is insane, can U say wheel spin?
Not really sure of the gains because it winter.
Microtuner does more for your since U have digital odometer.

You might also try asking in the Computer Chips and Tuners forum which is a ways further down on the main forum page. Ken (webmaster) knows tons about the different chips and tuners. A good place to buy one is at www.motorhaven.com .
