Add-A-Leaf Question

A sagging front end on my 97 250 has been bothering me for some time now and I want to install the add-a-leaf system but I hear that castor/camber bushings maybe required. Have any of you installed this system before and did you need these bushings?? Also is this a job for the shade tree mech or should I have a shop do it??? Thanks for your time.

Same truck, same problem. Camber blocks will cost you about $36.00 each. Labor will take you about 1 hour each side, plus the cost of a frontend allignment. Removing the oem blocks can sometimes be a picnic on a rainy day! Total bill aprox. $230.00. If you have tools and you are mechanically inclined I dont see why you could do this yourself. You must decide if spending the $$ is worth the added time and effort. It helps if you have acess to a lift. As far as the addaleafs, I left mine untouched. You can thank gravity and the weight of the engine for the frontend sag.

my expirence with add-a-leaf kits (on a land rover) is that they are the hardest kind of lifts to install. Id much rather just remove the whole spring assembly and replace it.
just my opinion.

I did an add-a-leaf and it took me about 45 minutes to do. The hardest thing to do was get the old center pin out. Cannot advise on TTB frontend as I have a Monobeam.

PS Soak the ubolts about a day ahead of time to get the best oil penetration
