I'm thinking of converting my truck to Natural Gas, so I want to know if there is anyone out there in cyberspace who has converted their similar Ranger to Natural Gas already.
What headaches can I expect?
What kind of mileage should I expect?
Where did you mount your tank? Is it an eyesore?
How far can I drive on a full tank? Of what size?
How much power can I expect to lose?
Hello
My dads work truck is dual fuel and all he says is that the thing gets bad milage with the natural gas...ill print your page and ask him for more details.-Jake
his work truck has a chevy 327 - says it makes no sense to him but he works at a state institution and it is mandated that they make attempts to use alternate power sourses, they have dual fuels, electric rangers, and electric cars (golf kart) there too. - Jake
as far as price he says it makes no sense...and no cost benifit - here in new york the state has invested hard to use CNG, and has its own pump houses that supply institutes - he does not know of any place where you can just drive up and get CNG at 3,600 psi, NY provides it to itself.
he has 16 fuel injectors 8 per source.
