agman, I am glad that you are thinking about college now while you are in high school. I graduated HS in 97 and going to school was the last thing that I was thinking about. I just wanted to work and make money. In 2000 I finally decided to go to college. I chose to go to ITT Tech for Electronic Engineering Technology because I have always like electronic stuff. I just graduated in September with my Bachelors degree. I graduated in third or fouth in my class. I still do not have a job yet, but that will come.
If I had decided to take the same route in 97 that I had taken now, things probably would have turned out completely different. I would have already graduated by the time I turned 21 and would have probably had a great job making very good money. I am now 25, just out of college and am barely able to pay my bills while working at Walmart. All because I decided to wait to go to school.
Take time and think about what you want to get into and pursue it now while you can. The best advise anyone can give you is to don't wait to go back to school. It can be frustrating trying to decide what you want to do and it often gets overwhelming. But don't let it get to you. Think about it and it will eventually come to you on what you want to do.
Degree in political science, minored in human performance, NCSA certificate (Strength and conditioning coach), 1 year of law school. Hmmm... I am Director of operations for a development company that builds and manages multi unit housing (apartment complexes), office buildings, strip centers and single unit homes. I also own my own construction company.
I am a science middle and high school science teacher for a suburban St. Louis school district. I have taught every science including chemistry, physics, earth science, biology, and environmental science.
There are alot of great jobs in the science field, many of them pay very well, too.
Intelligence, specializing in targeting for the U.S. Air Force. If you aren't sure what you want to do and your tired of school then 4 years in any branch of the military is a good choice. Get to do something different and you get big money for college.
I started my own fence installation business this year. I went to college for a year, but decided I didn't want to sit in class. After a few construction jobs, the longest one being fence installation whichi swore when I quit I'd never do agian, I decided I could run a business better that the schmucks I usedt to call boss. I don't know how long I can run with it, but I do like being in total control of my future. If you don't know what ya want to do, try to stick out the school thing. Better, less physical, higher paying jobs will be more readily available. The military's another good option for time to think about the future, but I coudln't see myself in that kind of life. Outdoor work is only really good for about 2 months of the year. and even then the weather can suck. But my biggest advice for you would be if you don't want to break your back for that paycheck, suffer the books.
Im a self employed contractor. Basically i bill myself as a handyman. In addition i do other things including working with lawyers helping to serve papers and i also mess with cars and trucks as more of a hobby
